Servest Group raises £90m

Birketts-Ruiz

East Anglian law firm Birketts has advised Servest Group Limited and its owners on a £90 million capital funding.

The new working capital and acquisition facilities will enable Servest to reach its goal of becoming one of the top five independent support services companies in the UK. With its head office located near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, Servest is a leading facilities management provider employing more than 16,000 people over 4,500 sites across the UK.

Servest delivers a comprehensive range of essential facility services including catering, security, cleaning, pest control, waste management, mechanical & engineering and hard FM, washroom, internal landscaping and consumables, to an extensive portfolio of public and private sector clients.

Servest Group’s CEO for UK and Europe, Rob Legge said: “Rafael Ruiz of Birketts and his colleagues in Chelmsford and Norwich provided exceptional levels of service. They drove the transaction and the other advisers forward to meet our time frames and kept command of the process throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rafael or any of the Birketts team.”

Chelmsford office partner, Rafael Ruiz added: “The complexity and value of the transaction, involving shareholders here in the UK as well as in South Africa and the Channel Islands, combined with a tight deal timetable, necessitated teams from our Chelmsford and Norwich offices working together closely. It’s thrilling to be a part of this East Anglian success story.”
