Cambridge companies take lead at device developers’ conference

UK Device Developers’ Conference

Several Cambridge technology companies will be sharing their knowledge and experience at the 2015 UK Device Developers’ Conference at The Belfry Hotel, Cambourne on May 14.

Cambridge Consultants, Eurotech, Undo Software and Pico Technology are all important suppliers of tools and technologies to the worldwide hi-tech sector. Between them, they will be making presentations, providing workshops and exhibiting at this year’s event.

Richard Blackburn, conference manager, said: “Cambridge remains a vibrant area for the hi-tech sector and these companies really are leaders in their field.”

The one-day conference is designed for engineers and computer scientists involved in the development of intelligent systems and devices. It explores the latest tools and technologies available and includes a vendor exhibition, half-day technical workshops and a series of informative technical presentations.

Cambridge Consultants provides product development engineering services and technology consulting to companies around the world.

Kicking off the conference, embedded software engineer Jonathan Pallant will explain how to ‘Deliver Live Imagery From Some of The Remotest Parts of the Globe’ –  based on a recent project for the Zoological Society of London.

Eurotech, a global leader in the development and manufacture of industrial hardware and embedded computers, will present a half-day workshop explaining the fundamentals of ‘device-to-cloud’ connectivity.

Undo Software produces debugging tools that could save the industry $81.1bn a year by ‘turning back time’ to find the origins of software problems.

Pico Technology produces high quality PC-based oscilloscopes that offer a modern alternative to traditional and costly bench-top test and measurement equipment. PicoScopes are used in a range of applications across many different industries due to their portability, connectivity and outstanding value for money.
