All aboard for the offshore express
Loganair jet services between Norwich and Aberdeen have been launched to strengthen links between the two offshore industry hubs.
The airline is providing up to three non-stop weekday services to Scotland’s North East, as well as non-stop Sunday services – operated by an Embraer 145 jet.
The airline announced earlier this year it would add an additional based aircraft at Norwich Airport, creating 15 local jobs to operate the new route. Loganair has also been growing its presence at Aberdeen Airport. The bases at each hub provide the airline with an important engineering, crew and fleet resource to deliver a robust schedule for the new services.
Connectivity between the regions is important for the growth of the transport reliant offshore industry and the airline has indicated ticket sales from oil and gas customers have been encouraging.
Those travelling north with Loganair will also benefit from secure onward connections to Orkney, Shetland and Esbjerg.
