AstraZeneca and Judge Business School seek new life science gazelles
Big Biotech trailblazer AstraZeneca and Cambridge Judge Business School are driving an initiative to create more life science and healthcare success stories.
AstraZeneca is spearheading the initiative via its second StartUP Science Competition targeting life science entrepreneurs in the Cambridge UK technology cluster.
The winner will receive eight hours of gold-dust mentoring from senior AstraZeneca executives and could clinch a place on the globally renowned Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre’s Accelerator programme.
The competition aims to highlight the great science and innovation taking place in the Cambridge ecosystem and help build the next generation of biotechs.
Three finalists will be invited to pitch their businesses to an exclusive group of high-profile life sciences representatives at the AstraZeneca Exchange Cambridge 2019 event on July 3 at Cambridge Judge Business School.
They will be judged by attendees and besides the main prizes will also receive entry to the Entrepreneurship Education weekend held at Cambridge Judge Business School in the autumn.
Entries close on Friday, June 14. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take part in a Pitch & Network event at the AstraZeneca offices in central Cambridge on June 26. Participants will be expected to present a four-minute business pitch in front of a judging panel. The judges will choose three finalists to re-pitch at the AstraZeneca Exchange on July 3.
The competition is open to early-stage startups that are:-
