Kershaw class checks out for Waitrose

Kershaw-Waitrose

Kershaw Mechanical Services has completed the mechanical services installation at the Waitrose Cambridge store in Trumpington as part of the shop’s multi-million pound extension and refurbishment.

The Cambridge-based construction company was the ideal candidate for the job as they have a long history with Waitrose, having worked for them on over 30 new stores and refurbishments over the last 20 years.

Kershaw had a team of 20 on site at the shop for the duration of the 10 week programme, which included a night working rota so that the store could remain open to customers whilst the upgrade was carried out.

The store, which has been extended by approximately 1,800m2, has a new, larger café and customer toilets; new serving bars for fish, meat and cheese; and a new delicatessen and bakery.

Kershaw carried out mechanical works in all of these areas including upgrades to the store’s chilled water, drainage and air supply.
