APSCo to share market insight with Cambridge recruitment leaders

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo), is visiting Cambridge as part of its first ‘In the Round’ roadshow: a series of events for recruitment leaders across the UK.

In response to the increasing number of challenges and future uncertainty within the sector, the free event, sponsored by Barclays, is designed to help businesses take control and drive their own success.

With research from APSCo revealing IT vacancies in the South East have risen 29 per cent, and recent reports showing Cambridge is leading the way in embracing new technology, this pace of change brings businesses in the region new challenges and an unparalleled chance to scale.

The intimate discussion, led by APSCo’s CEO, Ann Swain, will take place on December 4; she will meet with delegates to discuss market trends in Cambridge as well as the wider professional recruitment sector.

The small sessions will concentrate on getting back to business, banishing the political and legislative noise over the last few years, focusing on growth, and capitalising on current opportunities.

Swain is co-author of The Professional Recruiter’s Handbook and has made SIA’s list of top 100 industry influencers in Europe every year since its inception in 2014.

She said: “We are undoubtedly entering a new phase within the labour market and with challenges and uncertainty continuing to cause a ripple effect across the professional recruitment sector, we must take necessary action.

“Given today’s climate, it is crucial leaders work together to plan ahead, pre-empting possible situations so that we can adapt and flex in response to demand.

“We want our attendees to gain and benefit from the discussion and I am delighted to have this opportunity to speak with recruitment leaders in Cambridge to share APSCo’s latest market insight, research data and discuss with local recruiters what concerns are impacting their businesses and how these can be addressed.”
