Fast food entrepreneur gets smart

Cambridge entrepreneur Cedric Deur feels he has the right ingredients for success with his ‘restaurant home delivery’ system – Zapawa.

Zapawa will allow users to use their mobile phones to order good quality food for home delivery from a selection of participating restaurants - and at discounted prices. They will also be able to use their mobile device to locate nearby restaurants as well as paying for the service with pre-paid credits.

Cambridge Marketing College is backing Cedric Deur with the first of its 2013 bursaries, providing digital marketing training as he prepares to accelerate his business.

“I am delighted to receive the support of CMC, which really validates our business plan as well as helping us to be more effective quickly”, said Deur, a previous student of Anglia Ruskin University.

Charles Nixon, Founder and President of CMC said: “We were greatly impressed with the Zapawa business plan, and believe that an effective digital marketing approach will give Cedric and his team the best chance of early success. We look forward to being able to award our next bursaries to more entrepreneurs.”

Cambridge Marketing Colleges (CMC) is a network of ten regional study centres offering weekend and evening study, distance learning and in-company programmes leading to internationally recognised professional qualifications awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the CAM Foundation, the Market Research Society and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
