Coffee company brews fresh success
Coffee company, Paddy & Scott’s has been accepted by Lord Young, the Prime Minister’s enterprise adviser, and Sir Terry Leahy, former chief executive of Tesco, to join Accelerate 250: an exclusive community comprising the best British business.
As the country gradually charts a path to recovery, some businesses are already bucking the economic trend, demonstrating rapid growth and great potential.
Considered the ones to watch, these are the so-called ‘vital six per cent’ – the businesses that are creating more than half of the UK’s new jobs by disrupting industries and creating new markets.
Scott Russell, founder of Paddy & Scott’s, said: “We’re honoured to be selected as one of the most dynamic companies in the UK. From something that started as a shared passion between two friends hand roasting coffee for fun in a garage on a second-hand 2-kilo roaster called ‘Old Smokey’ we’ve really come a long way.”
Based in Earl Soham, Suffolk, Paddy & Scott’s is a proudly British artisan producer of slow roasted coffee for some of the UK’s finest hotels, restaurants, corporate HQs and cafés.
