Darktrace defends Canadian company
Canadian company Utilities Kingston has deployed Darktrace’s Industrial Immune System to safeguard its complex industrial environment.
Utilities Kingston operates multiple utilities through a single service structure, allowing it to deliver cost savings and customer service excellence. The company is unique in Ontario, combining water, wastewater, gas and electrical services, and broadband fibre optics in one company.
With cyber-attackers increasingly targeting industrial control systems and national critical infrastructure around the world, it is essential for utility providers like Utilities Kingston to build agile and robust cyber defences.
Through its dynamic understanding of the client’s operational systems, Darktrace AI detects emerging threats in seconds, enabling the organisation to quickly respond.
The deal has been followed by a storming start to March for the Cambridge company. It was ranked ninth in the ‘FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies’ list.
“To secure a top 10 position in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies is testament to the fact that AI is now the cornerstone of cyber defense,” commented Poppy Gustafsson, CEO, Darktrace.
