Blighter prepped for further expansion with new board
Cambridge radar firm Blighter has unveiled a new board to build on record sales through geographic expansion and continued focus on defence & homeland security, critical national infrastructure – including airports – coastlines and national border markets.
It has appointed former Amino chair and ICL plc CEO Keith Todd as non-executive chairman, Angus Hone (former CFO of various technology companies) as CEO, Tracy Sambrook (former CFO of Nutmeg) as CFO, and Carl P. Bannar (former VP of Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems business) as non-executive director.
The company designs and makes electronic-scanning (e-scan) radars and counter-drone solutions.
Blighter has enjoyed strong and sustained growth in recent years and achieved record revenue in the last 12 months driven by sales of its counter-drone technology and ground surveillance radars.
Blighter e-scan micro-Doppler radars are used in 35 countries, including by the UK MOD in Afghanistan, in South Korea monitoring the demilitarised zone, by the United States Department of Defense in Iraq and at London Gatwick airport detecting drone activity.
